On Hiatus

Hi friends, Reader Voracious is on a brief hiatus while I focus on my health.

This post is about a week in the making and it pains me to say that it is time. You might have noticed my posting schedule has been a little light over the last week. As I mentioned to in my March In Review, I’ve been having a rough time lately and am on medical leave from work. (As an aside, if you have any spreadsheet or data needs and want to hire me to do something — hit a girl up on Twitter. Ya girl has some bills to pay.)

I am finally reading again (yay!) and will do my best to write and post reviews for the ARCs I have been fortunate enough to receive as I am able to do so. Because I have Reading Around the Globe and other posts features, there will be some scheduled content during my hiatus. I will make an update post when I’m officially back.


Thanks for your love and support; I’m sorry to be missing out on your posts while I don’t have the energy to blog hop! I’ll do my best to check out posts when I reply to my backlog of comments.

  1. Your health always comes first and foremost. Leaving work is hard. I have been there for a year now and it is scary as hell. But you have to take care of you. You can always go back to work.

    If you need anything please reach out. Whatever you need to do or need to not do? Listen to yourself.

      1. 😻 we have all been there. I had to do what I had to for mom and myself. And my hiatus was months long..just had to hope everything would still be here when I came back.. and everyone has been amazing!!! We love you. You are such a blessing to this community and want you well. I’m still in a day to day situation but it’s one that this community supports me in now. You’ll get there and when you do we will be here :).

  2. Take care of yourself and we’ll miss you until you’re back! You’re not the only one on hiatus- I think spring is a really difficult time for a lot of people (it has been for me in certain parts of my life), so you’re not alone. Reach out to us- any of us- if you need love and support, because we’ll be here. ❤

    1. 😭😭😭 Michelle you are too sweet and I honestly don’t deserve you! (but don’t leave me because I love you!) I am definitely starting to feel a litttttllle better and motivated blogwise, but am trying to take my time and bank some content before coming back. I don’t want to have to take another hiatus because I come back too soon. ILY!

  5. Awww, not to say that I’m happy you’re on hiatus, but I always support it when people prioritize their health! I hope you get to relax a lot during your hiatus 💖 And I’m so sad because I’ve been so busy lately and I’m not caught up with most of your recent posts :(( I guess I’ll use this hiatus to read them :”))

    1. I know exactly what you mean, and thank you! It was really hard for me to take this time for myself, but it has been really important for me to focus on my health and not have blogger guilt. Now that I have a little bit of energy I have been working on getting caught up on my comments (which were 30 days backlogged!), which will alleviate a lot of stress. Have fun catching up, Caitlin, and I will be back sooner than you know it!
