Have you ever come across a book outside of your preferred genres and just knew it would be a delightful read? That’s how I felt when the publicist emailed me about Tokyo Ever After. The epitome of “The Princess Diaries but make it Asian,” it’s exactly the kind of book I want to read and am forever thankful that Flatiron reached out to me about it. I adored this book with my whole heart.
Dustborn is everything I wanted it to be and will be a book I shove lovingly to everyone I know and I’m not even remotely sorry about it. This book is a must-read for fans of Mad Max and and stories of humanity’s hopeful perseverance in the face of adversity. Honestly, how am I supposed to review such an amazing book?
Welcome to my review stop on the Terminal Tours Blog Tour for Dustborn by Erin Bowman! Thank you for letting me participate in the tour and my eternal thanks to HMH Teen for sending me a finished copy of the book. And isn’t the cover stunning?!
I adored The Descendant of the Crane and will read everything Joan writes, so naturally I was incredibly excited to receive an eARC of her sophomore novel The Ones We’re Meant to Find! This is heartbreakingly beautiful and critically important story of love, loss, and perseverance that has stayed with me long after reading. Thanks for all the tears, Joan He!
Friends, let it be said that Joan He is a master wordsmith. Her words resonated within me, swept me into the world straight away and kept me hooked until the very end.
Hi, The Beautiful Ones is absolute perfection: it made me feel so many feelings and I love it so much. I don’t read a lot of romance: I picked this book up solely because it’s written by Silvia Moreno-Garcia… and I think I want/need more romance in my life now???
This book ruined me and it took me almost two weeks to feel up to writing this review. The Beautiful Ones is a beautiful story of love and betrayal, of innocence and depravity, of conformity and passion, of youth and adulthood, of privilege and entitlement. Fast paced and instantly engaging, this book is told in the third perspective of three main characters who are inextricably linked and made me feel so many varying emotions while reading it.
HI, OUR LAST ECHOES IS PERFECT AND I LOVED IT AND WILL RECOMMEND IT FOREVER. *puts on infomercial voice*
