One of the reasons that I love reading is that I can escape the real world and go on an adventure. Science fiction – especially space opera – enables me to live the astronaut life I dreamed of as a child before I realized math would keep me grounded. Science fiction often explores the potential consequences of scientific and other innovations, and has been called a “literature of ideas.”
