🐺 🌕 If by perfect you mean “will make you get up and turn all of the lights on in your apartment because you are an adult and live alone,” then The Siren and the Specter by Jonathan Janz definitely fits the bill.
Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier definitely surprised me! Not only was it a fantastic thriller that kept me enthralled and guessing, I was impressed that I didn’t guess everything from the get-go!
Holland from A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab for sure! I like my characters dark and twisty and he definitely fits the bill – also the Danes from this book are so freaking evil so they get a shout-out here.
Grim Reaper: A Character that Should Never Have Died
My answer for this will forever be Firefly-related and even though this masterpiece was canceled 15 years ago I don’t want to spoil that. So… if you’ve seen it you probably know. Look at the spoiler at your own risk.
Zombie: A Book that Made You “Hungry” for More
Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody. I honestly think about this book so frequently and pre-ordered King of Fools as soon as it was available to do so. I need to be back in the City of Sin.
Gargoyle: A Character that You Would Protect at All Cost
Amani from Mirage first comes to mind, even though she really doesn’t need protecting! I just adored her strength and passion so much and she deserves all the good things in life.
Contagion by Erin Bowman was such a magnificent read and caused me a mini-slump (totally not a bad thing!)! I was sucked in right away and devoured the entire book in one sitting, hungry for more.
Are you as excited as I am about BLOGOWEEN?! Will you be participating, or maybe just happily reading all of the fun spooky content? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Aaaaahhhh Firefly! The ending killed me😢
I am still not over it 😢😢😢😢😢
*still has to finish CoBaB* but I totally agree that it should be preserved through time, I’ve loved it so far and I can’t wait till I finish it haha
HAHAHA at least you agree with my choice even though you haven’t finished the book yet!
100% agree with Firefly! And I still can’t believe that the show never had more series.
I can’t read or watch IT though I keep convincing myself that I’m going to give reading the old school Stephen King books a go!
Firefly was such a good show and the movie wasn’t enough to satiate me.
I keep telling myself the same thing, but I tried to read Misery like 18 years ago and got bored and that was that for me. LOL
Mine is because I’m such a wuss but I keep telling myself that each year will be a Stephen King horror year!
You can do it!
Such a wonderful tag! I definitely agree with your answers of Holland and Amani! ❤️
