This girl I SWEAR! She takes the indignant, new-to-powers-but-acts-like-she’s-a-master trope to the next level. Everyone has her best interests at heart but she does the exact polar opposite and gets herself into sticky situations over and over again that she has to be saved from. She would totally be the girl who would hear the radio alert that a murderer has escape a local asylum and went to the middle of the woods at midnight anyways.

For a skeptic that hates Halloween and her family’s stories of their brush with the Sanderson Sisters 25 years ago, she sure makes some moronic decisions. She’d probably be that character that would tempt fate by saying Bloody Mary in the mirror three times on the Blood Moon after being warned not to.
🌹 Rose from The Wicked Deep
There’s always the kind, wonderful character that is pure and trusts everyone. This is definitely Rose and she would be the one to not believe the rumors / evidence that someone they know is a murderer and would go meet them alone or something equally stupid.

Hehehe I choked on my water when I read the sacrificial lambs header xD. I could not agree with you more on Rose. I feel like she would be the one to recommend everyone to go into a shed full of chainsaws in the middle of the night because the serial killer told her it was safe.
I was going to try and add someone I think would run REALLY SLOW so that I could beat them in a footrace and have them be the lamb to the slaughter of whatever ghoul was chasing us, but I got lazy. And yes spot on about Rose. I love her, but she gun die!

I feel like I really need to read Lantern’s Ember – not only is it by one of my favorite authors but I’ve seen some comments about Ember popping up here and there that’s making me very curious to her character and actions. Great selections though! (Poor Rose, I always feel bad for the sweet and kind characters but you’re so right)

I don’t know any of these characters but I feel like I met them after reading why they’d go first! I just love this prompt its so fun, (I totally didn’t get it >.<) so I loved reading your choices!! I still don't know who I'd pick but I kinda want to think about it until I can come up with a character!! ❤️
Honestly I thought this prompt would be easier to write than it was! As soon as I started I like… forgot every character that I have ever read??? Good luck and I can’t wait to see your list if you come up with one, Dani!
If I’m going to be 100% honest, I feel like every single character from the books we read is a possibile victim. They just end up in danger, but some have actually chances to survive, more than others.
But I still think they’re all perfect horror victim material.
I’m goon read The Wicked Deep soon, so I guess I’ll discover if I agree or not 😂
