In case this is your first post of the 2021 award season, the Jazzies were designed to actually give readers their voice to determine the “best” reads of the year. You can learn more about their origins here.

You nominated a total of 187 books published between November 1, 2020 and November 30, 2021 for the 2021 Bookish Jazz Awards. (That’s amazing!) The field thinned through the three voting rounds, and we’re left with 48 winners for the 2021 Jazzies!

OMG thank you so much for your super kind comment, DB (and apologies for my super late reply)! I need to be better about frontlist too… I had a tough time voting this year, but not as bad as in 2020!
Shamefully, barely any books I’ve read are on this list haha. Even when voting I couldn’t do much because I spent most of my time reading backlist books in 2021. But, a lot of these books are on my TBR and since they won, of course, they’ll be awesome and I should get to them soon haha. Congrats to the winners, and great job on organizing this Kal!
I feel you so hard: I had a tough time nominating myself for 2021 releases because my reading has been so Sporadic and mostly backlist. But it’s a good sign many of the winners were already on your TBR… hopefully you enjoy them, too!
