[bctt tweet=”The 314 nominees for the 2020 Bookish Jazz Awards have been announced, and now it’s time to vote for your favorite reads across ya & adult categories! Voting ends on November 20, 2020… so what are you waiting for?” username=”kalventure”]
I am so excited to reveal the nominations to you all! And now YOU get to vote for YOUR favorites – which ones will make it to the semi-final round? It is up to you!
The Nominees
314 young adult and adult novels are nominated for the 2020 Jazzies! Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to submit a nominations form, and congratulations to all of these books & the authors! 🎉🎉🎉
For the authors of these books, we have a nominee badge! The graphics are made by Loretta @ Laughing Listener and are free to display for the authors however they wish; feel free to link back to this page to spread the word.
I created a spreadsheet with all of the nominations (click the book title to be taken to the Goodreads page for the book) that is embedded below.
Books that were ineligible because they were published outside of the eligibility window (November 1, 2019 to October 31, 2020) are highlighted in red. If a book was nominated for the wrong age category, I moved the nominations where appropriate.
I am sorry if your favorites are not included. 2020 is a difficult year and current events undoubtedly impacted many people’s energy and even reading this year. There are no doubt many amazing books that weren’t nominated and for that, I’m sorry!
Voting Rules
There are a total of three voting rounds. This ensures that all eligible nominees have the option to be voted for in general voting; there will also be a semi-final and final round.
Rules:
1) You are able to vote up to two books for each subcategory.
2) You do not need to vote in every category.
3) Voting on books you have read is preferred.
4) Every award category has two subcategories: Adult and Young Adult.
5) The voting form closes at 23:59 on November 20, 2020.
7) Semi-finals voting will begin on November 22, 2019.
8) Finals voting will begin on December 1, 2020.
For categories with less than six total nominees, there is a write-in section on the voting form.
